| FEET WITH HEAT DANCE TRUST - SCHOLARSHIP FOR COUPLE DANCERS |
The Feet with Heat Dance Trust promotes and supports dance in the Wellington Region through shows and scholarships. One of the objectives of the Trust is to establish a Scholarship Fund from which ‘Dance Couples’ (referring to partner based dances) and ‘Dance Couples Formation Teams’ can apply for financial assistance to further their dance skills, knowledge and abilities in their respective Dance Styles.
Applications are now closed for the 2010 Annual Scholarship. Email: info@feetwithheat.co.nz for a 2011 application forms.
Applications will be considered for costs associated with travel and attendance by applicants to Dance [Competitions, Workshops, Camps, or such similar events (as demonstrated by applicants), and appropriate to the applicants respective dance style/s]. APPLICATIONS CLOSE 24th AUGUST. |

Learn 1920’s Charleston dancing for those that are heading up to the Brebner Print Art Deco weekend in February.
Plenty of fun and promises of both single and partner Charleston will commence for 4 weeks every Wednesday from the 11th January at 7:30pm.
No experience necessary and places are limited so register today.

Napier's famous Art Deco Weekend held every year on the third weekend of February - the 17th-19th for 2012.

| ROCKIN THE HUTT |
It's back for a 3rd Year! This premier event being organised by CBD+ and the Lower Hutt City Council - it promises to be a leading event that needs support from Rock’n’Roll dancers for the council to keep it going!
We invite you to join us in celebrating a new and exciting musical festival – Rockin’ the Hutt that will become one of two annual signature events for Lower Hutt. This annual event features Rock & Roll and Swing dance competitions, dance demonstrations, bands, fairground attractions, stalls, displays of cars and an Elvis Impersonator competition.
The dance competition has been organised to encourage all dancers to enter as it’s a freestyles dance competition, i.e. no routines and will feature a new section for 2012 - a Jack & Jill event (no partner required - enter as a lead or follow).
The Lower Hutt City Council is keen to see this grow and hope that with enough interest it will continue with more great prizes in the years to come. Please help us spread the word.
